Climb Together Certification

Looking to climb with a 6-7 year old? Parents climbing with a 6–7 year old may choose to complete the Climb Together Certification. This certification is optional and only required if the parent also wishes to climb.

Drop-in at the gym weekend evenings from 5-8pm.

This course is for adults (19+) looking to share a climbing session with a 6-7 year old climber. Typical supervision ratios require one supervising adult to one climber of that age. However, if the supervising adult and youth climber complete this certification, they can climb together. They must alternate turns on the wall. This only applies to the same supervising adult/child pair, and if a different adult would like to take the child climbing and would like to climb with them, they'd have to take the course. The certification will assess if the child is able to wait off the mats in one spot while the adult climbs, and if the adult enforces the gym rules. It is $5 per participant, and no booking is required. Drop-in at the gym weekend evenings from 5-8pm to do it.

Please Note:

  • Climb Together Certification is optional
  • Required only if the supervising adult also wishes to climb
  • Adult is anyone over 19+
  • All supervisors must be adults
  • Supervisors (not climbing adults) do not need to pay an entry fee
  • Waivers are required for all guests on gym floor - viewing or climbing
